The STEADI-PLANK™ Boat Boarding Ramp System©
Unlike the way most people use land based ramps, using a boat boarding ramp, boat gangway or gangplank on a vessel, the vessel is always moving up, down, forward, aft, and side to side as the tide, wind, and waves control it. Therefore, the ramp end that is on the dock is also moving. As the tide comes and goes, the vessel end of the ramp may be higher or lower than the dock and the underside of the ramp may be resting on the dock instead of the end with the standard rubber pad or wheels that most traditional ramps have. What we do is add UHMW skid pads to the under side of the ramp and at the bottom of the dock end of the ramp for it to slide on so not to damage the ramp or dock as the height difference of the vessel to the dock changes. Since the vessel is moving with respect to the dock, we have developed a mounting system to secure the ramp to the vessel. We use a flat non-skid for smother rolling of your “roll-on’s” on the ramp. We offer a removable, optional, full length handrail system. Our ramps are extendable with optional extra length sections to meet your changing needs.
We all know that "One Size" does not fit all. The same is true for portable boat boarding ramps, boat gangways, gangplanks, and passerelles. If you need a boarding ramp for your yacht, power boat, sailboat, motor boat, houseboat, deck boat, pontoon boat, or any other vessel, one length of boarding ramp will not always work for the many docking situations you will encounter. Then, as your needs change, you can add the "Add-A-Feature"™ options and "Add-A-Length"™ STEADI-PLANK™ extensions as needed. The many economical options will accommodate fixed side and transom mounts, swim / dive platform mounts, quick mount adapter, movable gunwale / transom mounts, vertical/horizontal rail mounts, and mounting height /angle adjustments, as well as special custom mounts.
